As a video game writer, my narrative-focused game Who I See is my strongest sample! It was put on PCGAMER’s Top 5 Free Games of the Week, is a Featured Game of Gamejolt, won a Judge’s Top Pick in AdventureJam2018, and gained over 16,000 views and 600 follows in just the week of its full release. It takes 40 minutes to play, and has been praised for its writing, particularly for its dialogue and characters.
This is the intro of Who I See written in the 3rd person. Its purpose as the beginning of the story is to hook readers into wanting more. If you aren’t into playing the full game or are looking for more traditional writing, you can read this to see my narrative, dialogue, characters, and writing in action.
Under acclaimed game writer Chris Klug, I worked with three classmates to create the game bible for a tabletop campaign: Olympic. It used the Firefly system, which focused on character personalities, relationships, drama, and character-centered stories, with some fun action writing thrown in there! It includes a line chart, prose outline, character profile, a scene screenplay, and a setpiece.
